How do I book in a lesson?

To book in a lesson, simply contact us on (07) 3726 5788 at any time between Monday to Friday (9:00am - 5:00pm AEST), online 24/7 or via email at admin@cloudtuition.com.au. We'll match you to a qualified school tutor within 72 hours of your booking and send you a confirmation with the details that you'll need to launch your online sessions through our learning platform.

How does the first lesson work?

The first lesson is a free 60-minute session with one of our expert tutors. Simply contact us and we'll match you to the right tutor with 72 hours and send you the details that you need to launch your session. During your session, you’ll meet your tutor online and get a first-hand look at how our virtual learning platform. From there, your tutor will help you learn and practice different topics and skills based on the learning needs that you've outlined. We’ll then send through a lesson overview and reach out to you once your session is complete to check how everything went on your end.

My child hasn’t tried online tutoring before. Is it as effective as traditional face-to-face tutoring?

We’ve found that most students who haven’t tried online tutoring before actually prefer online lessons instead. Just like traditional in-home tutoring, online tutoring is face-to-face and provides you with the individual, personalised attention you need for your learning. On top of that, the lessons are convenient to launch and you’ll get access to our interactive whiteboard during your lessons with helpful learning tools such as screenshare, geometric shapes, diagrams, graphs and document writing to make learning more engaging.

Will I need any special equipment for the online lessons?

All lessons are interactive, face-to-face and taught online in real time through our online learning platform. You won’t need any special software or downloads to connect to your lessons, only a tablet or computer with audio/video functions and a stable Internet connection.

What subjects do you offer tutoring services for?

We offer personalised tutoring support for Year 2-10 English and Mathematics for Australian school students and Year 11-12 Biology, Chemistry & Maths support for students based in Queensland. During our lessons, we build on schoolwork using our curriculum-aligned materials to help students catch up, keep up and extend their learning.

How are your tutoring sessions conducted?

Our tutoring sessions are conducted online through our interactive learning platform (LessonSpace). No downloads are required to connect to our lessons but we do require our students to have access to a reliable tablet/computer with working video, audio and Internet access. From there, they'll be able to meet face-to-face with their tutor online for their tutoring sessions.

How long are the tutoring sessions?

Question 9

How do payments work?

Accepted Answer

Lesson invoices are sent to your email each week for your convenience and can be paid online via credit card using Stripe. You also have the option of signing up for direct debit (automatic) for hassle-free lesson payments. If you’d like to also pay by bank transfer, please contact our team and they would be happy to assist you. You’ll also receive a receipt anytime a payment is made so that you can keep track of your lesson fees.

What if I want to cancel or pause tuition later on?

You can cancel or pause your tuition at any time for free. We know that life can get busy and your schedule can change – simply contact our team and we’ll help you make the arrangements. We only ask that you provide us with a minimum of 24-hours prior notice if you have any sessions booked in so that we can notify your tutor.
